Eco-Friendly Paints

Posted on October 18, 2010 By Deirdre (Edit) Leave a Comment

Are you getting ready to paint the interior of your home? Before you ever pick up a brush, be sure that you are using a paint that won’t pollute your home’s indoor air or harm your health. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are chemicals that are commonly found in paint, and have been linked to liver and kidney damage and cancer.

The good news is that there are wide variety of low-or- no-VOC paints and primers available to consumers today.  According to Kelly LaPlante, designer and president of Kelly LaPante Organix Interior Design Inc, these are the top low-or-no VOC paints on the market:

Benjamin Moore Natura
California Paints Elements
Devoe Paint Wonder Pure
The Freshaire Choice
Pittsburgh Paints Pure Performance
