A Basement Bedroom Suite for a Multi-Generational Home

Posted on April 17, 2012 By kwalker (Edit) Leave a Comment

According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) one of the emerging home design trends of 2012 is the multi-generational home. Now the family home needs to be able to have more livable space to accommodate aging parents or grown kids who come back home. If you have a basement space, the best option for the space is to create a bedroom suite.

There could be a variety of reasons that families move-in together under the same roof. From failing health complications to financial issues, right no families are relying on each other to get through this turbulent time. Renovating your basement into a bedroom suite still allows your loved one or love ones to have some privacy and a space to call their own for the time being. It is not always an easy choice to move back home or to go and live with your children, however, building a bedroom suite in your basement can help make the process go a little smoother.

Are you looking to renovate your basement due to a change in your family’s life? Contact Quality Home Concepts if you are in the Kansas City area.
